    Wendy J. Hookman, M.D.

Dr. Wendy Hookman is Founder and Medical Director of WCWCW, LLC. Board Certified in Psychiatry and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Hookman specializes in treating Women's Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Weight Management Difficulties. Areas of special interest include Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Infertility, Psychopharmacology in Pregnancy, Postpartum Disorders, Infertility and Weight Management. Dr. Hookman is former Director of the Women's Mood Disorders Program at Georgetown University Hospital and is on the teaching faculty of the George Washington University School of Medicine.

    Jessica Lu, M.D., M.P.H.


Dr. Jessica Lu is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and was trained at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute where she was Chief Resident of the UCLA Women╩╝s Life Center. A generalist, she sees both women and men, although has a special interest in psychiatric treatment of women who are planning pregnancy, are currently pregnant, or are post-partum. She has had extensive training in both medication management and therapy and believes in taking a balanced and individualized approach to each patient.
Dr. Lu is not accepting new patients.
    Joy Paul, LCSW-C

Ms. Paul is an experienced licensed clinical social worker. She has over 20 years experience working with children and families. She has expertise in marital and family counseling. Ms. Paul’s approach in working with children is to include the family unit. Ms. Paul believes in helping her clients to learn effective communication skills as well as develop a greater awareness of their own mind sight in giving deeper perspective on how to view life. Ms. Paul is effective in working with individuals transitioning during life cycle changes. Ms. Paul is President of the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County and serves on the Board of Alumni, School of Social Work.

    Valerie Relacion, M.D.

Dr. Valerie Relacion is a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatrist. She graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Relacion has received the honorary designation as a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association. She specializes in treating children, adolescent, and adults with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as ADHD (children and adults), PDD, weight management, and disorders of Impulse Control.

Susan Felzer, Psy, D.

Dr. Susan Felzer is a licensed psychologist who received her bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her doctorate degree at Hahnemann University. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders as well as those struggling with relationship difficulties and life transitions. She also has a special interest in treating people with weight management difficulties. Dr. Felzer believes that therapy is a collaborative process; she helps people reach their full potential by helping them understand and deal with their unique issues in a safe and supportive environment

     





  Victoria Shampaine M.D.

Dr. Victoria Shampaine is a psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with mood, anxiety and behavioral disorders including Bi-Polar and  ADHD. She has a special interest in the treatment of eating disorders and related psychiatric difficulties. Dr. Shampaine provides a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, psychopharmacology when indicated and a family-system, holistic approach to care. She completed her General psychiatry training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her child Fellowship at NYU-Bellevue where she served as Chief Resident. 



  Eliska Robins - Office Manager

Eliska Robins is originally from Czech Republic, where she earned her degree in accounting and economics. She is proud mom of twin boys. Her hobby and interest are studying English history and designing Renaissance and medieval gowns. One of her biggest accomplishment is having her gowns featured on the book covers on New York Time best seller authors.





  Julie Mitchell, LCPC

Ms. Julie Mitchell has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the George Washington University, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She has experience working in a variety of mental health settings, ranging from residential to outpatient care. Ms. Mitchell specializes in working with clients with eating disorders, depression, anxiety and personality disorders, and is passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults through life transitions. She integrates elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and emotion-focused therapy into her practice with an emphasis on helping clients to build self-compassion and greater mind-body awareness.




  Lisa Luse, LCSW-C

Lisa Luse is a licensed clinical social worker who received her Master's degree from the university of Pennsylvania. She has expertise in providing individual, family and group therapy for patients who are struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and family conflict. Lisa's approach is warm, direct, and engaging with an emphasis on building trust and using the therapeutic relationship as a medium for change.  She strives to create space to explore patterns in relationships, emotional expression, and practicing new ways of being. Lisa has served as a supervisor for new therapists and has given eating disorder and body image presentations and training to community members and providers in the DC metro area.



  Stephanie Ayala, RD, RDN

Stephanie Ayala is Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders, weight management, diabetes management and other nutrition-related concerns. Stephanie has worked with all age groups including children, adolescents and adults in either an individual, couple, family or group setting. She also certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Diabetics in Child and Adolescent Weight Management. Stephanie's goal when working with her clients is to look at the individuals needs and to work with a non-diet approach including intuitive and mindful eating.  Stephanie attained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia as well as a Bachelor's in Nutrition from James Madison University. She completed her clinical Dietetic Internship at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore before moving to the DC area. Stephanie enjoys staying up-to-date on the most current nutrition research and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.



 


Kate Dansie, LCSW-C

Kate Dansie provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Kate utilizes an integrative approach with clients, incorporating cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies (CBT & DBT). Kate provides strategies for parents of children and adolescents struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges. Kate received her MSW from the University of Maryland in 2007 and has completed many post-graduate trainings, including CBT, DBT, Exposure and Response Prevention, and coping with infertility and pregnancy loss. Additional areas of experience include: school refusal and anxiety, self injurious behavior, self-esteem and empowerment, family and parent/child relationship issues, anxiety and OCD, depression and other mood disorders, and eating disorders.
